Refrigerant R32 is a HFC refrigerant, used as a replacement for R410A in low temperature refrigeration and air-conditioning applications. This refrigerant is a preferred replacement for R410A in new equipment. R32 is not to be used as a retrofit.

Note: Due to the mildly flammable nature of this gas, the threads are left hand threads. An adapter can be purchased at Grainger or most HVAC stores.

I service LG window units for several apartment complexes. The units come factory charged with R32. When repairs are necessary, we capture the original charge, vacuum the system and recharge with R32.
